Academics

Our girls write the Senior Certificate examinations set by the Independent Examinations Board (IEB).

At Epworth, we preserve and promote a tradition of academic excellence. But, we ensure that the pursuit of academic excellence is balanced by our concern for the girls’ physical, spiritual and emotional development. It is our aim to encourage the transformation of young girls into intelligent women of integrity.

Our classes are small, allowing pupil to accelerate their progress, or receive that individual special attention and therefore reaching their academic goals.

All High School pupils have access to the Internet and email.

We enter the English, Mathematics, Home Economics and Science Olympiads every year, as well as the World Knowledge Olympiad.

THE EPWORTH INTRANET

The intranet is an internal site for the use of teachers and pupils. Subject specific sites provide: relevant information pertaining to the syllabus of each grade, memorandums for assessments, extra lessons for extension or remedial purposes, and links to relevant resources. Other sites are those pertaining to Logistics and rules, Learning skills, Clubs, Inspiration, and any other areas that need general access by the school community.
