Epworth’s sports’ philosophy embraces participation while sporting excellence is championed. This is evidenced by the large number of pupils who are chosen for provincial and national teams and Epworth’s domination of South African Schools’ squash for nearly two decades.
2010 ACHIEVEMENTS
Top Canoeing School in South Africa — 2010:
Epworth has won the South African Schools’ Canoeing Championships every year since 2006.
Duzi Canoe Marathon:
Epworth girls took the top three U18 places in this year’s Duzi Canoe Marathon.
Top Squash School in South Africa:
This year Epworth came 2nd in the SA Top Schools Squash Championship. Epworth has been the top SA School 17 times since 1984.
Independent Schools Tennis Championships:
Epworth won this South African Championship this year.
