2011 Grade 12 NSC Results

NATIONAL SENIOR CERTIFICATE RESULTS  - 2011 We are once again very pleased with our results and I am pleased to report that we had a 100% pass rate. 53 girls entered for the NSC and 51 (96.23%) obtained the minimum requirements for entry into university.  The national IEB percentage for entry into University was 81.6%, which means that our girls have done very well. Jessica Nel and Jessica Ringshaw achieved 8A’s (including Mathematics Paper 3), Derisa Govender  and Bronwen Smithers achieved 7A’s (including Mathematics Paper 3) and Rebecca Coghlan and Lydia Wepener achieved 6A’s.   In addition to many other personal successes five of our girls were in the top 1% of candidates per subject and I list these below: Afrikaans First Additional Language: Lydia Wepener English: Qondiswa James History: Derisa Govender Life Orientation: Qondiswa James Mathematical Literacy: Camilla Olivier and Tayla Thomson 28% of all the subject symbols obtained were A’s and 81% were C’s or above.  This means that our girls did not just scrape through their exams, but are well equipped to continue their tertiary studies.  We are delighted with the excellent effort the girls have made to achieve this success and I congratulate the staff on a good academic year once again.
