Epworth is extremely proud of the class of 2018 for achieving excellent National Senior Certificate (NSC) results. Not only did we record a 100% pass rate, but we also achieved a 100% Bachelor degree pass rate.
Our 71 candidates who entered the National Senior Certificate examinations achieved 219 subject ‘A’ aggregates, 150 subject ‘B’ aggregates and 83 subject ‘C’ aggregates. Our aggregate distribution (using Epworth calculation) per candidate is impressive: 23 candidates (32,39%) attained ‘A’ aggregates, 32 (45,07%) attained ‘B’ aggregates and 16 (22,54%) attained ‘C’ aggregates.
Our Dux for 2018, Danielle Confait, extended her excellent academic record with 7 distinctions and an overall aggregate of 92%. Fellow candidates, Serena Armstrong (87%), Joanna Kockott (87%), Olivia Langford (88%), Josie Makkink (90%), Suné Minnaar (89%), Shraya Moodley (88%), Lara Pearse (86%), Sarah Philpott (89%), Samira Rajaram (84%) also achieved 7 distinctions. Téleiyah Pakkari (86%), Katja Vonkeman (89%) achieved 8 distinctions respectively. Twenty-two of our candidates achieved in the Top 1% of subjects.
Katja Vonkeman made it onto the IEB Commendable Achievement list for being placed in the top 5% in 5 subjects and for achieving a Level 7 for LO.
