A hearty congratulations to every single pupil in the Epworth class of 2020 on their amazing IEB examination results. Their Grade 12 year was full of unprecedented challenges, yet they came out on top and did themselves, and the school, proud. In addition, they gained many skills and achieved a level of resilience not measurable by writing an examination.
• Our pupils achieved a 97.01% university degree pass – the national IEB average for entry into university was 88.41%
• 83.8% of all papers written by Epworth pupils were graded at 60% or above and 94.3% of all papers written gave our pupils access to university.
• Of the 67 pupils, 62 achieved a ‘C’ Aggregate or above and 63 pupils achieved at least one distinction.
• Well done to Philippa Braithwaite, Imani Buthelezi, Yasmin De Meyer, Megan Hatch, Shannon-Ann Parker-Dennison, Micaela Viljoen, Leah Vonkeman and Tayla-Jade Weiss who achieved in the top 1% of subjects.
